Sydney Women’s Rugby Union (SWRU) was incorporated in 2002, Since that time 17 Different clubs have competed for the honour of holding the Jack Scott Memorial Cup. This year the Confirmed teams competing for the cup are; Penrith Shemus, Sydney University, Warringah Rats & Waverley. The Two Blues Rugby Club is on the move from Parramatta to the Hills District and we expect to receive their team confirmation soon. 2010 will see two Rugby Clubs rejoin the Sydney Women's Competition (pending confirmation of Team List) They are Campbelltown Harlequins and Drummoyne.

Sydney Women’s Rugby Union has enjoyed a successful representative history, since first competing in the Australian National Women's Championship Tournament in 2001 the SWRU Rep Team have won the cup a record 6 times! Presently Seven Current Australian Representative (Wallaroo’s) are playing in the SWRU Competition, they are; Chez Soon (c) Warringah Rats, Ruan Sims Warringah Rats, Tui Ormsby Warringah Rats, Selene Thornton Sydney Uni, Dalena Dennison Warringah Rats, Nicole Beck Sydney Uni & Dan Meskell Warringah Rats.
