Sydney Women’s Rugby Union (SWRU) was incorporated in 2002, Since that time 19 Different clubs have competed for the honour of holding the Jack Scott Memorial Cup. This year the Confirmed teams competing for the cup are; Penrith Shemus, Sydney University, Warringah Rats & Waverley. 2010 has seen two new Rugby Teams join the Sydney Women's Competition Drummoyne Killara West Pymble & Merrylands She-Wolves.

Sydney Women’s Rugby Union has enjoyed a successful representative history, since first competing in the Australian National Women's Championship Tournament in 2001 the SWRU Rep Team have won the cup a record 6 times! Presently Seven Current Australian Representative (Wallaroo’s) are playing in the SWRU Competition, they are; Chez Soon (c) Warringah Rats, Ruan Sims Warringah Rats, Tui Ormsby Warringah Rats, Selene Thornton Sydney Uni, Dalena Dennison Warringah Rats, Nicole Beck Sydney Uni & Dan Meskell Warringah Rats.
